Kasthuri Raja & Malavika Manoj star in a film about a Muslim household

Meera Kathiravan , who helmed Aval Peyar Tamizharasi and Vizhithiru , has directed the family drama titled Habeebi . The film portrays the lives of a Muslim household in a small town in Tenkasi.Kathiravan tells us he wanted to accurately portray the lives of Tamil Muslims through his film. Director Kasthuri Raja plays a key role in the film. “His character, Mohammad Yusuf, the head of a family, wants to lead his life without hurting anyone.”Reflecting on working with Kasthuri Raja, Kathiravan states, “He felt the film talks about the need of the hour. He never checks the monitor and is a director’s actor.”Aan Paavam Pollathathu actress Malavika Manoj is also part of the cast. “This is the first Tamil film she committed. We auditioned 300 girls before casting her.”
